Apparently when Facebook’s Antigone Davis was live on CNBC defending the company over a few whistleblowers accusations and the way they research data and suggestions that Instagram harms teens, their entire service network went down.
As of now October, 4to 17:37 PST time, some countries/users still experience the failure.
On twitter, Facebook communications exec Andy Stone said “We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience.”
Inside Facebook, it seems some employees they can’t receive emails from external addresses.
It seems than facebook engineers have been sent to the company’s U.S. data centers to try and fix the problem, which might mean the outage could be further prolonged.
